Ladies
Dear Members, Dear Guests of the Golf Club House Gut Laerchenhof,
Welcome to a world where nature, tradition of a sport, and the joy of golf come together in a truly unique way.
The inspiration behind the Golf Club Laerchenhof wallpaper was drawn from the breathtaking beauty of this golf course and the rich flora of Cologne and especially the “Flora Ensemble” and its tropical “Botanischer Garden”, which holds a special place in the Rhineland with its lush, tropical plants and vibrant vegetation. Our vision was to blend exotic blooms with local nature, creating a scene that instantly lifts the spirit and brings a touch of sunshine to everyone who sees it.
But there’s more to discover – woven into this design are the fruits, berries, and orchard treasures that define our region, serving as both a symbol of local heritage and a vital food source for the wildlife that quietly shares this landscape with us. Even the animals, who often remain unseen on the vast golf course and perhaps are not always the most welcome guests find their place here as cherished companions to the golfers. With a playful wink, they remind us of important golf rules and etiquette, offering a lighthearted perspective on the traditions of the game. Each animal possesses unique qualities and strengths; perhaps even ones that a golfer might aspire to.
Just as these creatures coexist in harmony, so too do the players on this course. Golf is more than just a sport; it’s a place where friendships are formed, where moments of camaraderie are cherished, and where memories are made – some of them lasting a lifetime. As the saying in Cologne goes: “Echte Fründe…” (Real friends…).
And what would a round of golf be without a well-earned reward? Naturally, the most beloved golfer’s drinks have found their way into this design, reminding us of the joy of a successful game and the well-deserved moments of relaxation at the 19th hole, our cozy Golf Bistro and Restaurant.
We hope this artwork brings you joy, makes you smile, and perhaps even deepens your appreciation for the magic of golf.
Jack Nicklaus, known as the “Golden Bear,” left his iconic symbol at the inauguration of Golf Club Lärchenhof in Pulheim on May 15 in 2008, as a representation of his personal philosophy and extraordinary sporting spirit.
The Golden Bear stands for strength, determination, and excellence – values that Nicklaus not only embodied throughout his own golf career but also infused into the design of the course. With this symbol, he sought to inspire players and instill mental resilience, allowing every golfer to carry the “Golden Bear” with them in thought throughout their round.
Enjoy your game, embrace the moment, and may luck be on your side for your personal next round!
Kind regards, yours Mezzaluna team
01. Sketch
The sketch was conceived by imagining details of a tropical garden on a sunny spring day.
02. Background decoration
The preparation of the backgrounds was handmade, using our 4.0 airbrushe which guarantee absolute uniformity and compactness, allowing the decorators to express their art to the maximum and the perfect result of the product. After this they handmade the mother of pearl effect
03.Painting
The project consists of 12 panels 1mt x 3 mt H each, entirely made and decorated by hand by our artists with the coordination of the art director Veronica Severi. These artists come from Perugia and Bologna Academy of fine arts. A total of 386 hours were employed to complete the work. The painting was done entirely by hand following the sketches made. The mood of the work is centered on the representation of a real scenario NEAR the Alster in a fairy-tale, joyful vision, where reality blends perfectly with a dreamlike vision. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, refined, vibrant in the color palette and exciting in the setting. Everything in the work is aimed at arousing "positie vibes". The constant comparison during the realization between our team and Mrs Christiane Peters, Mrs Gesa Von Gorte and Mrs Carol Kofler has allowed to add and refine every single detail in a holistic approach that makes the work perfectly inserted in the design of the entire space of GRILL- HOTEL VIER JAHREISZEITEN6.
